How JobOnRoute handles personal data in the Operator product.
What JobOnRoute is
JobOnRoute is a technology platform connecting licensed private-hire operators with licensed private-hire drivers. It is not itself a private hire operator, a dispatch company, or a passenger booking service.
What we collect when you create an operator account
To create an account: your name, your email address, and a password (stored only as a hash, never in a form we can read). Optionally a telephone number.
To activate an account: your company details and operator licence information — legal company name, business contact details, business address, operator licence number, licensing authority and licence expiry date. Our team reviews these before an account is activated.
What we collect as you use the product
The operational records you create: bookings, jobs you publish to the marketplace, drivers and vehicles on your roster, staff accounts you invite, clients, and payment and invoicing records.
Where you use the live map, driver location is processed while a job is running so you can see the progress of work you have assigned.
Who can see your data
Your operational data belongs to your operator account. Staff you invite see it according to the permissions you grant them. Other operators do not have access to it.
When you publish a job to the marketplace, the details you choose to publish become visible to licensed drivers who match the licensing rules you set for that job.
JobOnRoute staff can access operator records where necessary to review a licence application, investigate a support request, or meet a legal obligation.
Your rights
You can access, correct and request deletion of personal data we hold about you. Account deletion has particular consequences for an operator account — see Delete account.
